CAVEX® worm gearboxes feature a low noise, shock absorbing torque transmission. The tooth flanks of the worm shaft are hardened and sanded and a high quality bronze is used for the worm wheel which leads to an excellent finish that withstands wear and tear and gives a long service life. This is what CAVEX® has been proving again and again for over 50 years. This gearbox implements all the requirements of a “hygienic design” and combines them with other CAVEX® product properties such as a high load capacity, low noise emission and a compact form which also enables high transmissions in small spaces. CAVEX® now offers the first worm gearbox in the world which has been developed exclusively for the drink, food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Optimal cleaning is possible through the use of stainless steel and a casing design that is characterized by ‘rounded’ outer surfaces.

CAVEX® worm gearboxes are renowned for their robustness and their durability. In some settings a service life of 30 to 40 years is not exceptional. We can offer you replicas of the old CAVEX® series produced by FLENDER or Siemens. This will save you engineering/design time for your current installation.

CAVEX® worm wheel sets consist of a hardened and sanded worm and a worm wheel made of high-quality, durable bronze. Worm wheel sets feature shock-resistant, low vibration and low noise gearing and achieve high levels of transmission in each individual stage. A self-locking feature when the set is stationary is possible. We produce worm wheel sets from standardised modules or to our customers' specifications. Modern high-precision gearing machines are used and along with constant improvements in technology, we can achieve highly sophisticated individual solutions.
